HOW DO THEY WORK?
Beneath the serious or playful look and feel lies a sharpened tungsten carbide impact tip, that is second in hardness only to a diamond! When the disc is struck with purpose, this tip will pierce the toughened glass compression layer and cause it to shatter instantly and completely into harmless little cubes.
WHY ARE THEY SO IMPORTANT?
Your car can easily become your prison in an accident when the electrics fail, when the body becomes twisted, or when the doors are inoperable, trapping you and your passengers inside. Modern electric vehicles can experience thermal runaway electrical fires too, which necessitates a very quick escape.
WHEN DON'T THEY WORK?
AutoXit's are made with extremely reliable technology and are themselves rigorously tested. The other partner in the assembly is the glass used in the vehicle. Modern vehicles are beginning to use laminate glass in the side windows, which is impossible to break easily. However, sunroofs and panoramic roofs are made from toughened glass, which is perfect for us.
DO THEY NEED SERVICING?
AutoXits don't need any maintenance or servicing as there are no "moving parts" in their assembly unless you count neoprene foam rubber. There's no way to break them by hand, so if they're left where they are, they'll be there for the lifetime of the vehicle.
